Welcome to the Japanese Media Society! We are the Arizona State University anime club, an expanding group of anime fans of every persuasion. For those more familiar with colloquial terms, we welcome the whole spectrum from newbies to casuals to otaku, and we are open to weeaboos, elitists, and fujoshi alike.

Our club enjoys showing a variety of new anime as they air in Japan, and we have shown shows ranging from the action-packed One Punch Man to the idyllic yet nonsensical Dagashi Kashi. We have also shown mysteries, such as Erased, and dramas, such as Kiznaiver. Furthermore, we are happy to show shows such as Death Note, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, and other old favorites. We may also watch anime music videos, live-action dramas, and reviews.

We encourage discussion throughout every meeting, and we will show shows by request and recommendation. Our club will also help organize trips to see movies, attend culture festivals, and attend conventions.

We meet at the Tempe campus every Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and meetings are usually held in the Memorial Union building. New members are always welcome.

Update (5/1/17): We no longer have enough members to hold meetings. If you are interested in reviving the club, please email us at JapaneseMediaSociety@gmail.com.
